As specified earlier through circular no. NSE/F&O/12/2003 dated April 21, 2003, regarding the introduction of option contracts on individual securities, the closing price of the securities in the underlying market shall be rounded off by the applicable strike interval multiplier to derive the at-the-money strike price. Three In-the-money and Three Out-of-the-money strike prices shall be introduced based on the At-the-money strike for both put and call options.

The new contracts will be available for trading from August 21, 2008. Members are advised to take the latest contract.gz, security.gz and fo_participant.gz files from NSE EXTRANET, directory:/faoftp/faocommon before start of trading on August 21, 2008. A detailed list of new contracts being introduced for trading (file name: CONTRACT20082008.CSV) will be available on the path faoftp/faocommon/contracts on August 20, 2008 after market hours.

SEBI Board approves New Derivative Products

As a step intended to progressively encourage markets to move onshore, the SEBI Board, in principle, approved introduction of new derivative products for the Indian market based on the interim recommendations made by the SEBI Committee on Derivatives headed by Prof. M. Rammohan Rao. The products will be introduced under suitable regulatory framework in due consultation wherever necessary with other regulatory authorities.

These new derivative products will be relating to:

(1) Mini-contracts on equity indices,

(2) Options with longer life/tenure,

(3) Volatility index and F&O contracts,

(4) Options on Futures,

(5) Bond Indices and F&O contracts,

(6) Exchange-traded currency (foreign exchange) Futures & Options, and

(7) Introduction of exchange-traded products to cater to different investment strategies.

It is expected that these new derivative products will provide investors with a larger range of risk mitigation products and create more activity in the Indian onshore markets. These products are also expected to bring transactions based on private-synthetic products to an exchange-traded transparent mechanism with appropriate regulatory supervision.

The Board also mandated that a wider consultative process be followed before finalizing the specifications of these products and information about the products be disseminated to the market participants. However, the introduction of such products will depend on the product design, risk mitigation features and conformity to regulatory requirements.

In addition to these interim recommendations, the SEBI Committee on Derivatives headed by Prof. M. Rammohan Rao is expected to finalize its recommendations on suitable OTC derivative products for the Indian markets. As soon as these recommendations are available, after due consultation, the SEBI Board will take a decision on these products as well.

In continuation to circular NSE/F&O/082/2007 dated September 19, 2007, it is hereby informed that futures and options contracts will be introduced on Nifty Midcap 50 index for trading in F&O segment w.e.f. October 5, 2007

The symbol for Nifty Midcap 50 index will be NFTYMCAP50.

The contract specification, market lot & list of contracts available for trading in Nifty Midcap 50 index would be informed to members separately through a circular on October 4, 2007.

Its not a buy call as i hold some quantity in my personal acs but its just a reminder as the stocks cmp is just 1 rs capital is 12.5 cr shares (approx) and promoter holding is 57%.The company interestingly is in computer education space.and looks like it is set to give a good return.i repeat it again its nt a buy call as i personally hold a very small quantity which i can afford to loose.

LCC Infotech Ltd has announced that as part of its strategic diversification plan, the Company has forayed into personal computer business with its maiden launch of a range of personal computers in the Orissa market, the launched function held at Hotel New Marion, in Bhubaneshwar that was attended by the PC dealer fraternity of Orissa. The Hon'ble I.T. Minister, Shri Suryanarayan Patra launched the PC formally at a grand ceremony. With the high growth in the PC market, the company wants to cash on it and has accordingly launched PC at a price of Rs 9,999 only.

The Company has set a target of 30,000-40,000 PC sales and a sales turnover of about Rs 40 crore (Rs 400 million) during next one year.

The Company is aiming for a national footprint and intends to be a national player and launch the Company's products in other states soon. The Company also launched range of PCs including Intel based celeron, PIV, Dual core and Core 2 duo PC targeted at middle and higher income people the PC will allow many families to own a PC as it will suit their budget.

The Company is heavily banking on competitive pricing, assured product quality and good after sales service to push its sale apart from masses the Company will focus on the small and medium enterprises and the government sector to drive growth. As a matter of strategy the Company will concentrate on the B, C and D category cities across the country.

In a bid to cater to the requirement of the upper segment of the people, the Company also announced to its plan to launch laptops in next two months. The increased sale of laptops has encouraged the Company to expand its portfolio to laptops. While laptop sales accounted for 6.1 per cent of the total PC sales in 2004-05, it increased to 12.2 percent in 2005-06. Last fiscal it further increased to 20 per cent.

Laptop is catching on with the upper income segment and this market is growing very fast. Keeping that in mind, the Company is eyeing a share in the national laptop market.

With growing demand for laptops the Company plans to launch its own range of laptops in next sixty days. This will be priced very competitively and will include a laptop for the masses.

The Company through its network of centers in Orissa and also new dealers and re-sellers plans to reach out to the masses. It has already appointed two distributors in the state while each district will be under the direct supervision of a company hardware engineer available in Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack and Sambalpur, he said.
